Inspired by the eclectic collection of sounds from the Arctic Monkeys, P!ATD to The Strokes, Paramore and Fall Out Boy, music has always been part of the creative strangeness Angel aspire to be. Visualisation and imagination meets metaphorical dark whimsy tied with a black bow of past and future. That’s Angel, that’s her piece of the puzzle.

Dot Crawford is the heavy hitting backbone of the band. She has been playing the drums since 2014, and has crafted a distinct heavy rock style that carries our sound. Her biggest musical inspirations include bands like Muse, System Of A Down and IDKHOW. In particular, Muse's drummer Dominic Howard has been a major inspiration for her. Apart from drumming, she loves game collecting and is a huge fan of all things Transformers.

First discovered climbing around inside an upright piano as an infant, no-one's sure where Lem came from or if he's even human. He was reintroduced to his natural habitat (crusty old piano) at 8 years old and has been inseperable from keyboards ever since. His major influences include Skunk Anansie, Diablo Swing Orchestra, System of a Down, Silverchair, and The Dresden Dolls. Lem contributes piano, synth and vocals to Managold, and wrote the songs “Cognitive Dissonance” and “Shadows”.

Joshua was born and raised in Perth WA, and has been playing the guitar since he started highschool. After being taught his first few chords by his grandfather, Joshua quickly became obsessed with the instrument and with music in general. He joined every school band and took every opportunity to play on a stage. His biggest musical inspirations include classic Australian rock bands like Cold Chisel, Powderfinger, and Baby Animals. Though he has always had a love for art, constantly drawing sketches and reading books in his spare time, it was only after joining Managold in 2024 that it became his driving passion. In particular, writing songs and poetry, with many of these poems being posted on Instagram. Joshua has written many tracks for the band such as "Cosmic Sunset", "Blue Divine", "The Shifting Tides" and hopefully many more to come.

Max was born and raised in Indonesia, but moved to Perth in 2018 and fell in love with the town they now call home. A little fun fact, they discovered the art of being a guitarist through the iconic video game ‘Guitar Hero’ at the age of 8 and from then on being in a band and making a career in music became their first love and is the only thing they ever wanted to do. Their sound and aesthetic comes from a variety of music legends such as Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash and Radiohead. In addition to those musicians, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus had further expanded their skills in songwriting. Max is the father to MANAGOLD’s fan favourite “The Ballad of Sadie and Max”.

Like a lot of his band members, Nick was born and raised in Western Australia and is a multi-instrumentalist. His sound and writing inspired by many classic rock legends, such as The Cars, Chicago, Eagles, Ocean Alley and more. Nick has written a variety of tracks for the band, such as “Driving” and “Dead Money”.
